Upon completing your initial CPC which will last for 5 years, you will then every 5 years after that need to complete 35hrs periodic training, this is regardless of whether you did a MOD2/MOD4 or 35hrs CPC to gain your CPC.

This is ongoing training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Do I require Module 4 or Periodic Training?

The type of Driver CPC training you need depends on when you passed your car driving test. If you passed after 1997, you’ll need to complete the Initial CPC, which includes a Module 2 theory test and a Module 4 practical demonstration. If you passed before 1997, you may already have acquired rights and will typically only need to complete the 35 hours of Periodic CPC training.
