The full 5 day NRSWA operative course is for anyone who wants to undertake all of the physical works on the roads within the UK. Including excavation, backfill, reinstatement, signing, guarding and using tarmac and cold-lay materials.

On completion, the trainee will be expected to be able to prove practical and knowledge competence to pass units LA, 01, 02 & 03 in all the subjects related to the course contents below. Additional units can be added from the list below, additional units will increase the duration.

LA– Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
O1– Signing, lighting and guarding
O2 – Excavation in the highway
O3– Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
O4 – Reinstatement of sub base & road in non bituminous materials
O5– Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials
O6– Reinstatement of hot lay bituminous materials (subject to centre)
O7 – Reinstatement of concrete slabs (subject to centre)
O8– Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footway

We offer accreditation with SQA, learners will also receive their SWQR Card

1-6 trainees = 5 days.
